So long 2024, and thanks for all the memories

The end of the year is a great time to look back and reflect on where you started to where you ended up.

I got to meet so many awesome people over this past year and have so many wonderful experiences. I got to nurture a new relationship and also grieve its end. I got to swim with whale sharks in Oslob. I visited multiple countries. I explored the UP. I got a bunch of health issues finally sorted out and found out my heart is strong. I even had my first surgery.

And then to cap off the year we finally won "Best Small Size Brewery in Asia." There were highs and lows, but through it all, it was a wonderful year. I am so thankful for everything, both good and bad.

I have spent a lot of time recently reflecting on who I am versus what I want to become. We as humans are creatures of routine. But we are also learning machines that follow set algorithms based off of our experiences and belief structures. If you enter in the same input data, you get out the same results. And so people get stuck in these same patterns. I am as guilty as any of this.

So in order to change we need to make conscious choices. We need to monitor our thoughts and our actions in real time. And in order to have a different outcome we must be changing our inputs. And this is what lead to the creation of Present Future Man.

We all have our ideal version of ourselves. The ones we image and dream of. But most are not willing to put in the time and work to make those actual changes. Because that means changing habits, routines, and patterns. But to be that "Future Man" we have to make different decisions in the present. If we keep making the same decisions, then we keep having the same outcome. So in order to start to become that new version of ourselves, we have to become someone different in the present.

And so that's really what I have set out to do for 2025. To fully embody the kind of person that achieves all the dreams they have in the future. I actually started this November 1st. I decided there was no need to wait for the new year to get to work. And I must say, the mindset shift, the change in my body. I now know deep down that I am on the path. There is no time like yesterday to begin, but the second best time is right now.

I am so incredibly excited for what 2025 has in store. I am currently waiting for my next call to adventure. But because I am putting in the work every day, I know it will come soon. I have so many incredible dreams for this year, and I hope you do to. Let's check back in a year from now and see how it went.

Happy 2025,
Jason
